At Pawhuska Hospital Inc., a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) will assist with the prevention, evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of communication, swallowing, and related disorders of the oropharyngeal mechanism, which can result from a variety of diseases and events. For many adults, speech therapy is a key component of treatment known to improve swallowing and feeding safety, communication, and quality of life.
After evaluating a patient’s speech, language, voice, cognition, and swallowing, our experienced and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist will develop a personalized therapy program using the best evidenced-based practices.
Pawhuska Hospital Inc. strives to prioritize patient access to therapy and provide one-on-one care with the same therapist during treatment. The therapy team also works closely and collaboratively with patients, family and the extended medical team to improve patient outcomes.
